The Katmasters 2007 Pumpkin Carving Contest is now over. The membership now has seven days to vote for there favorite pumpkin. I think each member that entered there pumpkin did a great job. Congrats to those members.

We had this contest last year and it’s back again for 2007.

This contest will end on the 31st of October. The pumpkins must be catfishing related (you can also carve a pumpkin with “KATMASTERS” on it in your own style).

Prizes - I will gather around a nice package to send out to the winner. We have a few things that was donated by SCA and from a few members to put in the package. I will post what the prizes are once I get it put together.

We have 2 pumpkins posted already but it’s not to late to get in on the fun. Just remember the carving must be catfishing related.

Pumpkin Carving Contest

With-in 12 days, 24 eggs was hidden. Eggs was through the Katmasters site although most eggs was hidden inside forum posts. We had a awesome prize packet donated by the contest sponsors.

Items not pictured but in the packet are: Katmasters Catfishing Club hat and a SCA shirt.

A special congrats goes out to the three members that searched and found all 24 eggs:

Sence there was a tie, we hid one last egg at 8pm tonight for these three members to find. The first member to find the egg wins the entire prize packet. About 9:30pm, the contest was over with “lostamonster” finding the last egg.

Congrats to Allen for finding all 25 eggs.

The Great Egg Hunt forum thread

A new Contest with awesome new prizes. We all remember the fun we had looking for eggs hidden in the tall grass in our back yards as kids. The adults would hide the eggs and along with some family and friends, we would rush to collect the most eggs in our basket. Sometimes there would be candy inside the eggs and sometimes not. But as kids, it was a blast looking for them.

Now as adults, we are the ones that does the hiding of the eggs and watch our kids or grand kids have fun like we use to searching for the eggs. Katmasters has brought the egg hunt online and into our forums. But instead of getting candy, there will be a large prize packet for the member that finds the most eggs. With Mike from SCA donating some great prizes and Jim from Chef Jim Reels donating a awesome 209 Penn Reel, there are great prizes for all catfishermen.

The first two eggs will be hidden on March 27th with two more eggs hidden each day through April 7th. Twenty Four eggs in total will be hidden throughout the forums and a few placed on non-forum pages. Members will try to find as many of the hidden eggs as they can by April 7th with the winner taking home the total prize package.

Most other contest/give-a-ways held by Katmasters normally require the member to have a Avatar posted along with 25 posts and some profile fields filled out, to enter. This time the only rule to enter is to have 25 posts by April 7th, the ending of the contest. We wanted to make the entry rules a little easier this time and get alot of members involved. This will be a fun contest for all members and someone will be walking away with some awesome prizes.
